About
I like to make things…quilts, clothes, drawings, stained glass, art projects, you name it. Sometimes I think I must have ADD because I like to jump from project to project. I am a procrastinator and a foodie (but that doesn’t mean that I put off eating!). My goal here is to document some of my creations and inspire you to try some of your own.

What exactly is “Batting” We don’t have material of that name here in Scotland what would be the equivalent?
Elspeth, it is a soft thin cotton which is most often used in quilt making, sometimes called wadding, I believe, in Great Britain. Does that make more sense?
Thanks for that, so quick a reply , I’m new to quilting , in fact haven’t attempted it yet, just looked at the instructions. Have to practice as the WRI competitions are very competitive!!
Love the cupcake pattern in the Quilt Blog tour. With 2 grandchildren who are girls, I can see it as a popular theme. Also love your website/blog name–have had lots of hissyfits in my time being a good southern girl!
Hello Sandy!
I am hoping you would be able to help me try to date some amazing fabrics found in an old quilt. I’ve searched endlessly online and have come up dry. Your name was forwarded to me and I’m hoping you can help.
I don’t see a way of emailing you here. What is your addy?
Thanks, Rebecca
Rebecca,
I’m not an expert in dating fabrics but have a friend who is great at it. Please send me an email to hissyfitz@earthlink.net and I will send you her email address.
Thanks,
Sandy
I’ve thoroughly enjoyed looking through the website after spending this afternoon taking your free motion quilt class at Linderella’s in Southern Pines. Your quilts are fun, adorable, and I am inspired to quilt, quilt, and quilt some more! Maybe one of these nights I too will be lying wide awake at 2:30 trying to figure out a free motion pattern!!! Best wishes!
Just met you yesterday at the Grand Rapids Show. You were so friendly and inviting. Thank you so much for your free pattern. Your work is adorable. Looking forward to seein gyour updates on Facebook and ordering from you in the future.
Thank you so much, Dottie!
I can’t get to your website. My antivirus program is telling me that you have malware on your website. Just trying to let you know.
